How to Treat Acne - 4 Top Tips
Dealing with acne is so frustrating and learning how to treat acne is definitely important. After all, the last thing you want to do is continue to deal with unsightly acne when you want to go out on a date, to the prom, or just about your everyday activities. Although many people seem to think that this is a problem that just affects teens, you'll also find that many adults are affected as well. If you are dealing with acne problems, here are a few great tips that will help you to treat acne effectively.
Tip #1 - Always Remove Makeup - First of all, if you want to treat your acne effectively, make sure that you always remove your makeup at the end of the day. While it's better to just avoid wearing the makeup at all, if you have to wear it, make sure that you cleanse it off at the end of the day. Leaving on your makeup can clog up your pores, leading to more breakouts. So, make sure that you remove your makeup at the end of each day before you go to sleep.
Tip #2 - Exfoliate Gently - If you want to know how to treat acne, one of the best things that you can do is to gently exfoliate your skin. This helps to get rid of the dead skin cells on your skin. These dead skin cells can fall into pores and clog them up, leading to breakouts. When you exfoliate, you get rid of the problem. However, make sure that you gently exfoliate, since over ex foliating the skin can lead to more problems than you started out with.
Tip #3 - Over the Counter Medications- There are a variety of great over the counter medications that can be used to help treat acne as well. You'll find that your local stores have many great options to choose from and you can even purchase some of them online. Of course you'll want to take the time to make sure that you choose options that are designed for your skin type and make sure that you take a close look at the ingredients in the medications as well.
Tip #4 - Natural Treatments - Many people today are deciding to go with natural treatments for acne. Although there are many medications available, some of them come with side effects that can be very nasty. This is a reason that so many people are turning to natural treatments today. A variety of great herbs are used in these treatments, so make sure that you go with products that have quality herbs in them.
As you see, there are a variety of ways that acne can be treated effectively. So, if you are wondering how to treat acne successfully, use these simple tips for clearer skin that you'll love.

What Vitamins Are Good For Acne?
Vitamins have a way of effecting your body in a positive way. They can make a person feel much better just by increasing the supplement of one specific vitamin. If we don't get enough of a certain vitamin, we can experience a multitude of effects including neurological effects and other physical and mental problems. Vitamins usually don't come cheap, depending on where you go to purchase them, which kind you need, and how much.
Chances are if you go to a health store, they will cost more. The vitamins you will want to look for to help you take care of your acne are vitamins A, B6, B12, C, and D. These vitamins have the ability to heal your skin by getting rid of the excess amounts of oils that clog your skin pores.
What Juices Cure Acne?
In your search to find the right acne treatment medication or product for your own unique type of skin problem, you have probably stumbled along some methods that seem a little less than traditional, such as using things like juices and household foods to cure acne either by application or ingestion. Despite popular belief, you don't have to spend ridiculous amounts of money on these acne treatment products advertised on TV and pedaled on the internet which promise better skin in a matter of only days but don't really work at all. So what juices cure acne and help you get better more radiant skin?
Well, the juices that we're talking about are not really in the form of a juice per se, they are in the form of fruits that you should be eating on a regular basis, such as apples. You should be eating at very least two apples a day. This fruit has the amazing ability to cleanse your skin and remove bacteria that gets clogged up in the pores which is really the cause of acne in the first place. Bananas are another good way to treat acne. They are a great source of potassium and have been a cure/treatment for many different types of ailments for a long time.
Eating fruit is good for your entire body and you should be doing it each day you are alive so you can have healthy skin and a better, cleaner body. Things like fruits and vegetables help keep our immune system strong so we can fight away the infections and bacteria that cause sickness and yes, even acne. The reason acne is there in the first place is a hormonal imbalance in the body causing your body's natural oils to become exceeded and therefore those annoying not so little zits and pimples to form almost overnight as it seems sometimes.
Despite the great things people say about some acne products, I have found that most acne treatments simply did not work for me.
But after years of struggling to get rid of my acne, I finally found something that was able to almost completely cure my acne in less than a week.

Get Rid of Acne Fast - 7 Changes You Can Make Today to Help You Beat Acne
Treating acne effectively not only involves a good skin care treatment, but it's also important to eliminate certain risk factors or triggers which could either increase acne breakouts or reduce the effectiveness of any skin care treatment you may currently be using. In this article, we'll cover potential trigger factors to avoid which could be aggravating your acne condition. I'll also offer you better alternatives. Making these easy and simple changes should help you see better results in getting rid of acne fast.
1. Avoid harsh soaps and rough facial scrubs (granulated scrubs)
While these cleansers can help remove excess oil, they also weaken your skin's protective layer, which makes it more susceptible to acne. Also, stripping the skin of oil will only make your skin try to produce more oil to overcompensate. Try using gentle cleansers such as Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser (at drugstores). Another ingredient to avoid when choosing a facial and body cleanser is the ingredient 'sodium laureth sulfate' (found in harsh foaming facial cleansers). This ingredient tends to dry out skin since it strips your skin of oils (both the good and bad oils).
2. Avoid skin products containing synthetic alcohols, mineral oils, and petrolatum
After washing your face, use an astringent to help close up pores. Be sure your astringent contains cetyl, which is a naturally derived alcohol. This has a less drying effect than the synthetic alcohols, which should be avoided: isopropyl or cetearyl. Also, avoid moisturizers containing mineral oils and petrolatum since they tend to clog pores.
3. Avoid certain foods
Start phasing out these foods as much as possible: refined sugars (such as 'high fructose corn syrup'), excess salt, fried foods, highly processed breads and cereals. Try to also avoid alcohol, smoking, and caffeine as these can also aggravate acne symptoms. Dermatologists agree, for the most part, that no food directly causes acne. But you do need a well-balanced diet high in fiber, rich in vitamins, and raw fruits and veggies so that your body ---and especially your skin---can continue to heal and combat acne. A diet rich in vitamins and nutrients can boost your body's ability to heal skin irritations and combat inflammation and infections associated with acne.
4. Avoid popping pimples
Avoid touching your face and picking at pimples at all cost. This sometimes can be hard to avoid since your skin may itch at times, but remember that touching your face to pick at pimples or scars could help spread the infection and could lead to deep and permanent scarring. Try a moisturizer or toner with green tea extract to soothe irritated skin. Do not try to remove blackheads yourself since this can also lead to scarring. If the area around the blackheads is not irritated, try using blackhead removal strips available at drugstores.
5. Avoid over-medicating
When using over-the-counter antibacterial creams and ointments (for example, benzoyl peroxide ointment) be sure to follow the directions on the package. If you over-medicate (i.e., applying more than the recommend amount on your skin or applying it more frequently than the recommended dose), it can actually lead to clogged pores and damage your skin, which can contribute to acne.
6. Avoid certain types of makeup
Avoid oil-based makeup and applying too much. This will keep your pores from getting clogged. Be sure to go light on the foundation and choose makeup labeled 'non-comedogenic'.
7. Avoid stress
While stress doesn't cause acne, it can weaken your immune system and disrupt hormone levels. Keep in mind, though, that stress is not a major factor influencing acne---so don't stress out about it.
Combating acne is definitely a multi-prong approach. The changes suggested in this article are easy to implement and when used consistently, can really get you on the path to seeing fast results.
